翠華餐廳 Tsui Wah Singapore: One of Hong Kong's Famed Cha Chaan Teng has arrived!
After trying the famous Cha Chaan Teng in Hong Kong, we certainly have the same expectation for the outlet that recently opened in Singapore. Located at Clark Quay, their interior is quite the typical Hong Kong restaurant layout but in a very elegant setting. They do have outdoor seating options but we preferred to wait for indoor seat as the weather is too hot. The waiting time is approximately 30mins for a group of more than 2 pax.
Yuen Yeung -$3.50 (Simply love the cup design!)
Kagoshima-style Pork Cartilage in Fish Soup with Mixian, $8.50 - The pork is very juicy.
Spiced Pork Chop with fried rice $13 - Nothing can go wrong with this dish
Beef Brisket with Tendon Curry $13 - nice!
Fish Paste Puffs in Fish Soup - $7.50 The fish paste is too big a portion but worth it!
King Prawns in XO Sauce with Tossed Noodles - $11 - My favourite!
Braised Abalone Rice with Diced Chicken and Kale, $14 The risotto-like dish can literally melt inside your mouth, it's yummy!
TADA~~ The popular Crispy Bun with Condensed Milk, $4
Stir-fried Flat Rice Noodles with Beef - $13 This dish is a little too oily.
Overall, the price is pretty reasonable and the service is very good. The whole experience is fairly good and the restaurant does live up to its name.
