Local delights after Ikea shopping - Alexandra Food Village
If you are shopping at Ikea or Queensway shopping centre and you are sick of eating laksa or meatballs, you can hop over to the nearest hawker centre; Alexandra Food Village.
For the BKT lover, you can try Leon Kee Claypot Pork Ribs for their Bak Ku Teh Mee Sua. My personal preference would be strong peppery BKT as compare to the herbal dark broth they offered. But the overall taste is still good.
Calling all satay lovers! The Old Punggol Satay is a must try!
There is great western stall too!
For alternative places to Heng Hwa cuisines, this is the place. The traditional Heng Hwa Lor Mee with crunchy peanuts.
Thanks to my boyfriend who is Xinghua, also known as Heng Hwa, I was introduced to the Heng Hwa Mee sua dish. I cannot deny that his mum make better Heng Hwa mee sua but the taste is not far behind either.
The Avocado Showdown!
These two avocado stalls are just one stall apart and made us curious as to which is the popular one.
Eventually we decided to order from both stall to taste the difference.
The Avocado milkshake from Original Mr Avocado is more milky and strong coconut milk taste.
The Avocado milkshake drink from King Avocado is thicker and has strong gula melaka taste.
There are votes for either stall depending on your preferences.
